Sea Glass Studies

"He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed."
-Psalm 107:29 (My favorite verse)

Ten sea glass inspired abstracts. Shades and shards of greens and blues. A collected peace brought by pieces of inspiration gathered down by the shore. Time spent reflecting during the final cold front of winter, navigating some personal waves that were crashing all around stirred up by icy cold winds. A deep releasing breath that comes only from abiding and stillness. Renewal.

In between my impressionistic studies I like to palette cleanse with abstracts. Free and unconstrained brushstrokes layering colors from the lessons just learned in the inspirations just painted, this time being cloud studies. This collection was calming, meditative, and deeply personal to paint. Beautiful on their own but deeply connected and easily paired and grouped together they speak to one another. These 9" x 12" acrylic on loose canvas works will be available Monday, April 26th at 11AM EST on my website.
