This collection has been a labor of love and so special for me to paint. I have been so nervously excited to share them all with you. When this venture of pursuing art, publicly, was first planted in my heart many years ago it all started with a small impressionist floral study I painted of the azaleas in my yard that had bloomed right before a late snow (scroll back to see photos). I tended to that passion quietly, praying for years while mulling over the how and when of it all. Carefully tucked away I grew a garden in my heart sowing seeds and waiting patiently for the right time and calling. Last year I introduced my art to the world with a smaller and softer version of my florals. It was a strange and scary world in 2020 and the subdued water marked hints of florals felt like the gentle touch I and we all needed at the time. Now, a year later, I revisited the concept. This time with more depth, more color, more definition. A brighter and hopeful exploration of all that is yet to come. Awe struck by all of the beauty that blossomed this spring here in NC out of the cold, dark, dreary winter we all walked through. I hope they bring joy and inspiration to you all. Thank you for letting me share them in this space.
